Healing through trauma is an attainable dream – a journey that can begin today, right now.
I work collaboratively with you to find effective, personalized solutions. Whether you are seeking individual, couples, marriage, or family therapy, my focus is to help you rediscover joy so each day feels like a breath of fresh air. While there is no quick fix or “perfect” process, we can use proven, evidence-based strategies—including trauma-informed care, somatic techniques, and cognitive approaches—to bring comfort, purpose, and resilience to your life. I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, complex trauma, and difficult life transitions. Together, we will identify the patterns and behaviors holding you back so you can heal and move forward with a renewed outlook. You don’t have to carry this alone—we can take the first step toward meaningful change together.
Hi, I’m Makalia Ley, MSW! I’m a compassionate, trauma-informed social worker who believes you deserve a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. I work with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, difficult life experiences, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can process your experiences, better understand yourself, and develop meaningful coping skills. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed and person-centered care. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy should be a collaborative process. Together, we can explore patterns affecting your emotions, relationships, and everyday life while finding realistic, empowering tools for healing and growth. I hold a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. My training includes trauma-informed care, trauma recovery, crisis support, and mandated reporting. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. You deserve support and compassion.
